The story of Layana Travel

Layana Travel was officially born in 2022, as a new chapter for what was originally Turismo Layana, a family business founded in 2013 by my siblings.

After the pandemic, when they decided not to continue with the project, I decided to carry on with my partner and family. Thus began a new chapter, under a new name and a renewed vision: Layana Travel.

We started with just one vehicle, a used one my sister sold me, and with a lot of hard work, passion, and commitment, we grew to a fleet of five vehicles, including a van for private tours.

Today, we work with national and international tour operators, always maintaining the essence with which this family business began: offering authentic, personalized, and responsible experiences to every traveler who comes to San Pedro de Atacama.

I remember that at the end of the pandemic, the folks at Denomades asked me if I would continue in tourism. Without hesitation, I replied, "Yes, because this is what I'm passionate about."

Since arriving in San Pedro in 2010, I've dedicated myself to tourism. I love talking to people, listening to their stories, and sharing the magic of this place that has become my home.

Today, Layana Travel represents a new generation within a family story. An agency born from hard work, love, and the conviction that tourism can transform lives and connect people with the purest nature of the driest desert in the world.
